Captured With Care
Mission & Vision
Captured with Care is a youth-led nonprofit initiative committed to providing complimentary family photography sessions to families who may not have access to such opportunities. Our mission is to capture moments of joy, dignity and connection by offering high-quality family portraits during the fall season, allowing families to participate in meaningful traditions such as sharing holiday cards and photographs with loved ones. Our vision is to promote inclusivity in experiences that are often considered commonplace, ensuring that all families, regardless of financial circumstances, have the opportunity to preserve and celebrate their lives and relationships through professional style imagery.
How it Works
Captured with Care works with non-profits in the tri-state area to provide free digital family photo sessions in New York at classic landmarks like Central Park and Morningside Park. We organize professionally structured photography sessions throughout September, October and November, across accessible outdoor locations in New York City. Each participating family receives a 30-minute photography session at no cost. All sessions are conducted and professionally edited by Stella Jelinek, founder of Captured with Care. Following their session, each family receives a collection of high-resolution, professionally edited digital images suitable for holiday cards and personal use. The program is designed to ensure a seamless, respectful and uplifting experience for all participating families, while maintaining a high standard of photographic quality.
Our Founder
Captured with Care was founded by Stella Jelinek, a student at The Dalton School in New York City with a longstanding passion for photography. Over several years of study and practice, Stella has developed both technical and creative skills in photography. She was inspired to launch Captured with Care after recognizing that professional family photography, particularly during the holiday season, is a meaningful tradition that is not accessible to all families. Through this initiative, Stella seeks to use her skills to give back to her community by creating opportunities for families to experience moments of pride, connection and joy. Captured with Care reflects her commitment to combining artistic practice with community impact.
